Steven Furtick

Biography

Steven Brian Furtick Jr. was born February 19, 1980 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. He founded Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2006 with seven families meeting in a school cafeteria, which grew into one of the largest and most influential churches in America with over 30,000 weekly attendees across multiple campuses. He holds a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His sermons regularly attract millions of views on YouTube and his books include Greater (2012), Crash the Chatterbox (2014), and (Un)Qualified (2016). His church's worship team, Elevation Worship, has produced some of the most widely sung contemporary worship songs including 'O Come to the Altar' and 'Graves into Gardens.'
