Biography
Dylan Phillips, known as nobigdyl., was born November 23, 1991 in Hayward, California and relocated with his family to Bell Buckle, Tennessee at age nine. He studied audio and production at Middle Tennessee State University before pivoting to music business, where he interned and road-managed for Derek Minor at Reflection Music Group. Minor eventually 'fired' him specifically to push him to focus on his own music career. nobigdyl. is a founding member of the Indie Tribe collective and signed to Capitol Christian Music Group, releasing his major-label debut SOLAR. in 2018, which charted at No. 22 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers. He is known for his genre-blending sound incorporating trap, jazz, and golden-era hip hop, with lyrics that explore faith, identity, and personal struggle with deep transparency.
