Matthew James Redman was born February 14, 1974 in Watford, England. He began leading worship as a teenager and co-founded the Soul Survivor youth movement in 1993 alongside Mike Pilavachi. His song '10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)' won the Grammy Award for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Song in 2013 and has been translated into dozens of languages. He has released 16 albums, written 8 books, and helped plant three churches. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential worship songwriters of the modern era.
