Biography
Pauline Joyce Hutchison Meyer was born June 4, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri. She endured sexual abuse by her father throughout her childhood before her faith in Christ transformed her life. She began teaching Bible studies in the 1970s and launched a radio program, Life in the Word, in 1985. She founded Joyce Meyer Ministries, whose daily television and radio broadcast reaches over 100 countries in 100+ languages. She has authored over 100 books, with many becoming New York Times bestsellers. Her practical, conversational teaching style — especially her bestseller Battlefield of the Mind (1995) — has made her one of the most accessible and beloved Bible teachers in the world. She and her husband Dave have four children.
