Biography
Bart Marshall Millard was born December 1, 1972 in Greenville, Texas. He is the lead singer and primary songwriter for Christian rock band MercyMe. 'I Can Only Imagine,' written in ten minutes after the death of his abusive father who had dramatically converted to Christianity, became the best-selling Christian single of all time and crossed over to mainstream radio. The song's story was adapted into the 2018 film I Can Only Imagine starring J. Michael Finley as Bart.
