Biography
Amy Lee Grant was born November 25, 1960 in Augusta, Georgia and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She is widely credited with pioneering contemporary Christian music and crossing it into the mainstream. Her 1985 album Unguarded was the first CCM album to go platinum. She crossed over to pop radio with 'Baby Baby' and 'Every Heartbeat' (1991). She has sold over 30 million records worldwide, won six Grammy Awards, and 26 Dove Awards. She was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2003.
